The skirt-cape could probably be hidden with a couple of gentle twists and a piece of tape to Vader's back, just to give us another option. I know you undoubtedly have other things wanting/needing your attention, DJ, so I'm sorry to keep asking for more pictures, but it really would be nice to see him in a few more poses. Hands on his hips might be worth trying, if he'll move that way.

Definitely don't destroy your figure for us! If necessary I'll pay for a new Battle Pack and we can destroy the figure in that. If it comes to it, I mean. If we can get the look we need non-destructively, then all the better.

Also DJ some photo tips. Try putting up a neutral background that vader won't "Fade" into. A light grey should be fine.
Flash is your enemy. Take photos with indirect light such as a lamp with shade.
when you turn the fash off the camara requires a longer shutter time to capture more natural light. The slightest twist of your hand will cause blurring. So its best to put the camera on a steady surface like a tripod or a stack of books to get the exact angle you are looking for.

I am very sorry for my lack of attendance here on the forum. I know the last round has come to an end. I will do my best to try to get a few more pictures in the next day or two. If I ever slack again, someone just send me a message through regular email and I can get back to you faster.

No need to worry, DJ - we're all here on a voluntary basis and we appreciate all the time you're able to give us!

took a couple more pics. I took DV's advice and used a light grey background. I had overhead light with no flash. I put my camera on a book, but they may not be perfect shots. If you can't use these, I'll just send him out to DV so he can take some shots. Problem with the cape has been figured out. It is Half an inch longer then the figure. That is why it is so hard to work with. Let me know if these are ok. www.flickr.com/photos/deejay121/

Some small color differences in the "golding". A bit more green than I'd like, but these are samples.

Lookin' very good indeed! Thanks empy and DJ!
I see what you mean about the green-ness (on his helmet and feet) - I noticed that in the original photos, those are the areas that are ever-so-slightly out-of-focus, is there some connection there? Is it possible to just selectively recolor those areas, perhaps?
The second one has less green-ness, and a more golden (as opposed to bronzed) appearance, I like it a lot.

"Luke, I'm your frickin' father" !!
Hi Lord Boobius, great to have you here. We're trying to use the Vader figure from the Tantive IV Battle Pack, as shown in Empy's post above. DJ has the figure and has taken photos of him which Empy has been goldenising.
As for sizes, I guess the largest we'll need is probably only 300 or 400 pixels tall, for use in adverts. Hopefully it will scale down nicely so we can use it icon-sized for our avatar picture, and also (slightly larger) as an identifying mark on winner's badges, etc. I'm hoping it will be easily recognisable as "the BCA statue".
Hmmm ... so what do we call the final statue, analogous to "Oscar", "Grammy", "BAFTA", "Logie" 1 etc? We can't really use "BCA" because it is an initialism, not an acronym, you can't say it as a word, only as B-C-A. Well, we could force a pronunciation, like "Bacca" or "Becca", I suppose. Or we could call it a "Vader" ... as in, "Who won the Vader for Best Recreation?" That does sound a bit nicer than "Who won the Becca for Best Recreation?"
1 Logie = Australian TV award statue thingy.

I'm not a fan of that base, but I like the golding a lot. My revised effort:
